Elizabeth
Owner and Pilates Instructor
Elizabeth is the founder and owner of Touch of Pilates. She is passionate about holistic health and helping others reach their health potential. She has been teaching Pilates since 2009 and owned Touch of Pilates since 2011. Elizabeth was trained at the Midwest Pilates Institute, which is the first Wisconsin EAP state-approved Pilates teacher training school and one of the few state-approved programs in the country. She has experience teaching people with all different body types, including athletes, pregnant women, and clients with fibromyalgia and sciatica. She understands how to work with people with a limited range of motion and how to challenge everyone’s physical needs in a safe, fun, and loving manner. Her goal is to not just teach but to inspire you and show how amazing you are.
Niki
Pilates Instructor
Niki recently earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance, a certificate in Pilates, and completed the coursework for Pre-Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After many years as a dancer and countless injuries she sought cross training that would help her heal and become stronger without dancing. She eventually found Pilates and was impressed with the benefits Pilates has to offer. Niki is passionate about helping others and soon after she completed Pilates training she started teaching and spreading her knowledge of movement through Pilates. She also has teaching experience with children through the outreach dance program, Performing Ourselves. She preaches finding a healthy balance physically, mentally, and emotionally. While teaching Niki focuses on the mantra: All bodies are unique and all movements have value. Niki strives to focus on the individual and what works best for them.
Maria
Yoga Instructor
Maria is originally from Europe, where she grew up participating in different sports and earned degrees in physical education and sports. She believes strongly in the power of good nutrition, physical activity, a peaceful mind, and allowing the body to heal itself. When moving to the United States in 2017 right after a knee injury, she was introduced to yoga and enjoyed the slow pace that allowed her the ability to be vulnerable while exercising. Shortly after, she enrolled in a 200-hour yoga program followed by a 95-hour yoga course for children. In 2018 she started teaching and sharing her knowledge with adults, seniors, and children. As a preschool teacher, she has been amazed to see the benefits of starting yoga at an early age. Most of her classes focus on connecting your breath to your movement, challenging both your body and your mind.
