Owner and Pilates InstructorElizabeth is passionate about holistic health and desires to help others to reach their health potential. She has been teaching Pilates over 9 years and is a Certified Pilates Instructor through the PMA . Elizabeth training comes through the Midwest Pilates Institute in WI, which is the first Wisconsin EAB state approved Pilates Teacher Training School in Wisconsin and one of the few state-approved programs in the country. She is the founder and owner of Touch of Pilates and teaching future teachers in the Pilates Method at her studio. She has experience in teaching all types of bodies. Training with athletes, pregnant women, autistic, fibromyalgia and sciatica clients, clients with limited range of motion with conditions of all different types, and basic beginners who want to learn how the Pilates Technique can work for them in their lives.
Julia began practicing Pilates 7 years ago as a conditioning regimen for her dance training. She currently studies Pilates, Dance, and Kinesiology at UW-Madison and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Dance and a Pilates certificate in May of 2017. Her varied background in dance and movement investigation has brought her to the belief that healing the mind and body is often attained through movement and breath. Julia's approach focuses on proper alignment and encourages full body awareness. She is continuously inspired by how Pilates stabilizes and restores the body and she enjoys individualizing each session to help all of her students reach their personal goals.
Carrie is excited to bring her knowledge and training to the Janesville region to help the community to grow in healthier choices in lifestyles and body awareness. Her Pilates training comes from The Teaching Training Program through Touch of Pilates. She has over 550 practice hours in her studies and has been teaching for over 2 years. She wants to share her passion to all types of ages and bring understanding that age is define by movement not a number. Her heart is to make every movement fun and enjoyable as you grow stronger and leaner in each class.
Pilates Intructor and Fascial Stretch Therapist
Taylor has always been passionate about the body and how it functions. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she spent her life dancing in the studio, in a performing arts high school, in college, and in the professional world. In 2014 Taylor graduated from Point Park University with a B.A. in Dance and went on to perform professionally with Spirit Productions and Royal Caribbean Productions. Transitioning out of the professional dance world and into the fitness/rehab industry, Taylor has taken the last three years to earn multiple certifications in order to build upon her knowledge oftotal-body strength and wellness. She is now a certified P.M.A. Pilates Mat and Apparatus Instructor, Bootybarre Instructor, doTERRA Wellness Advocate, and a Level 1 and 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist. As a bodyworker, her overall goal for clients is to get them out of pain in the most holistic way possible using stretching and strengthening components. Taylor strongly believes in the philosophy that we are given only one body in our lifetimes and it is our duty to nurture it.
